Guitarist Dan Nicholas is a multi faceted musician with deep jazz roots, which he developed in his late teens on under the guidance of jazz piano legend Barry Harris. Based in Europe for almost 20 years, he now splits his time between Maine and NYC, and recent years have seen him perform with the likes of trumpeter Jeremy Pelt and fellow guitarist Ed Cherry. For this occasion he will play in the classic organ/guitar/drums trio format, one of the most soulful and beloved sounds in jazz. Joining will be two elite veterans of New York City scene: organist Kyle Koehler and drummer Jason Tiemann, both first call players who collectively have worked with the likes of Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, Lou Donaldson and Peter Bernstein, among so many others. A groovy, funky, and swinging time guaranteed.
